The best is highly natural surrounding of the campus - lake, forests, fields, a lot of animals everywhere. Amazing, picturesque environment with a lot of outdoors activities and place to walk. Research facilities in the field of science are one of the greatest in the UK. You receive all you need to successfully complete your research in chemistry, pharmacy, biology, etc., as well as help in managing the equipment. Drawbacks concerns student accomodation. Some rooms' aspects interfere with comfortable everyday activities, e.g. always closing fire doors, out of order lifts, safety locks on windows (imagine to live there in summer), inability to access the hoover due to the safety reasons (it will surely suck you in!), absence of 24/7 working medical emergency unit (if the accident happen at the weekend, you will have to take a taxi to the hospital, though the university emergency team will help you with quick first help). Good side of accommodation is noise-proof (except from noisy drunk students, who you can hear from windows).

Course is divided on two parts - first taught semester and second research one. Second is good, you just doing the research you prefer with chosen supervisor. The first semester is quite scarse in material as for me. I'd prefer more lectures, more detailed talks on every group of natural products, discussions on latest discoveries and more practicals. There are 3 modules with pretty much practicals, but they could be organised tightly and few more of them introduced, e.g. snake milking, tissue culture growing, etc. Also, detailed workshops on how to use analytical equipment (e.g. NMR) are preferable to be compulsory. In general, good practical side, but more learning activities needed.
