For me personally, choosing a university that was close to home and easy to commute to was a priority. I wanted to recieve the best support and education in order for me to be the best teacher I could be. Therefore, it was a no-brainer that Marjon was the university for me. The facilities are really good for me personally. I don't participate in typical 'student life' so cannot comment on that front but I know that the student bar on campus do lots of events that are run by the student union.

The lecturers are really great and they take on feedback from students on the course for improvement. The lecturers are super supportive and they take the time to help you out when you need it. Our course is taught face to face and I feel that it reflects the prospective career well, we are going to be teachers and there is not much that is online when teaching. The lecturers are all knowledgable and have first hand experience of what they teach. Our days are normally full days and during our third year for the second and third terms, they are one day a week in order to allow us time to complete our dissertations.

Student village is a great place to live and it’s nice living space and not as intimidating as halls. The majority of tutors on my course are lovely. However I have also had a tutor be transphobic which has made my self esteem feel low. I have had lots of positive experiences at Marjon but I wish there was more for lgbt+ people
