The University of Cumbria is a great place to go as it has such a homely feel. Because it is quite small it is easy to make friends, especially in your first week during freshers week where the university put on many great nights out so you can make friends with other people in the uni and not just on your course. Freshers faire is a great way to find out about societies and clubs in the university. The societies arenall run by students and they are so kuch fun as you again make friends with people who are not on your course but also from other years.

If you are the type of person that finds living in a huge city quite intimidating but still wants to be able to go out on student nights then this is the perfect uni. Its small and friendly and less intimidating but the student life is also really good, there is many places to go but thats what makes it good because the places you do go are always busy and full of people you know!
