I have spent a half a year at the Aberdeen Uni and so far it has been great , apart from it not being as good a city as my home city of Glasgow , there is plenty to do lots of shops bars and clubs along with the clubs that are run by the student union and if there is not a club you fancy its easy enough to set up your own , Aberdeen as a city has two unis and a collage so there is plenty of students , however the city only has one student union bar which is RGu union which i believe is soon to close , however lacking a union Aberdeen makes up with its cheap drink prices most bars/clubs mid week offering vodka mix for 65p-75p and jagerbombs for 90p which you cant argue with , academically Aberdeen is a strong uni i am lead to believe it is in the top 150 in the world , i study chem eng and all facilities are of a high standard compared to what i have seen at universities in Glasgow pointing no elbows (strathclyde and GCu) , Aberdeen also hosts place to a brand new library which they claim is in the top 20 in the world or the uk (i wasnt really listening when they where spewing all their facts) it is a nice library to be fair nice and modern and plenty of space to get work done , along with the library Aberdeen uni is only 5 minutes walk from the Aberdeen sports village which was just finished in time for the 2012 olympics with the swimming pool being finished in january 2014 , i am led to believe the fee to use these is very fair however i cant say i have used them as i barely leave halls meaning i am getting a bit out of shape however why would you leave the wonderful place that is named hill head halls of residence . No more space to write anything , basically its a good uni, halls are great , location a bit poor but the rest makes up for it, if you come youll enjoy it

I am about a month now in the University of Aberdeen, the experience has been surreal. I have had the opportunity to network a lot with individuals especially during the Fairs. For me the diversity of students that my programme attracts stands out to me, I have mates from Rwanda, Pakistan, Asia, and parts of Europe and we get to learn from each other. One area that could be improved upon is the implementation of a fair school fees billing for all international students .

I enjoy the teaching from my lecturers as they are very sound on their respective subject matters. I will advocate for more synchronized lectures to enable students join the class live as they’re on going.
