Overall my experience at Aston university has been generally positive, it has great prospects and good facilities as well as great support mechanism for all students however they could improve their teaching delivery.

This year the whole course has been taught solely online even the labs which was a bit disappointing, however lecturers are always happy to help you if you book meetings with them.

The university provides many job opportunities whilst studying as well as after finishing your studies. It also has a great support centre called Carter’s and Placement team that will help with any sort of employment be that paid or voluntary in any stage of education.

You get to gain practical and applied engineering skills from every module. Studying chemical engineering at Aston covers every single aspect in the STEM major. You get to study and apply not only core Chemical Engineering modules, but also business management, economics, design, coding and even environmental science and renewable tech. Which will help you decide what you want to do/study after you finish your bachelors degree since you have experienced several aspects/modules related to the STEM major.

The lecturers are great overall. Very helpful and will guide you through what you need to do to achieve your desired grades. All lectures are recorded and posted on blackboard. You have the choice to have online or face to face meetings. The course experience went smoothly even with the pandemic.
