Best: The university is in cooperation with many training companies and institutions to ensure we get a proper training regarding safety and certificates. The University is booking and paying for all these courses from the money we pay each year. This is a pleasant experience because these are very expensive trainings, which would be a challenge to pay by myself. Worst: I joined the University in 2020 September (during Covid) and the online teaching and student life experience was mainly online. since then the SU and all uni facilities are working normally but it feels hard to get back to the circle and make new friends. Also I would like to say, the counselling has a month waiting list to see someone in person.

On my course we have most of our lectures in-person and we have field work OR a field trip every year which involves us to cooperate and get some experience how safety plays a big role in every seafarers' life. We have full bridge simulators, for teaching navigational topics. When we werelearn8ng online, the lecturers were trying to involve us in the teaching even through zoom which was impressive, they really tried their best. After covid some lecturers have changed and the quality hasslightly dropped. Overall I'm happy with the course. I would give 7/10 stars.

As per my experience, Plymouth is one of the safest cities for studying. Luckily it is not too crowded but everyone can find their interests in student groups. As I said it is a smaller university city compared to others so this American university experience like in movies about parties and student union events are like a dream compared to Plymouth. There are plenty of part-time jobs for students and also full-time workplacesafterwards you finish the corse. Divers student alumni ever year. Public transport includes the local buses which have a very confusing route and ticket system.
