My overall university experience at Worcester so far (2nd year) is great. I find university challenging in many ways but also very rewarding, uni is more than I ever expected. Uni life is brilliant and I have engaged with many activities that the university offers which I MUST tell you to follow every opportunity that uni throws at you. I have met so many great friends at university which I know are friends for life. In terms of academic the work is challenging but so rewarding, every day I feel more like a good scientist.

Transferable skills - Presenting, statistics software for biosciences, and interview practice. Work Experience Module Project and career module - helps provide knowledge for careers after completion of the degree.

Most: The size of lectures are small in comparison to other universities so the lecture gets to know you as individual students whereby the great relationship helps with any questions or difficulties you might face with your course. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Least: First year - not a huge amount of nutrition content, however I realise this is to do with 1st year being the year the university gets all bio science students to gain a collective stepping stone of knowledge for the 2nd year. Also to do with the course being accredited by the association for nutritionists - which is great.

Students Union is friendly but unfortunately is far too small! The university is growing in size but the students union hasn't. The social areas of the students uni is too small - just a small bar and sofas. Most other universities e.g. Cardiff, their SU is practically a night club. On the other hand, the SU work closely to providing events and activities to take part in and listen closely to course and institute reps to enhance and improve the courses at the university. In terms of sport, there are many sports and societies you can get involved with however the funding from the SU is minimal.

Science facilities are Excellent! Canteen facilities are adequate Library/study spaces, are okay however as the university is growing in size addition study space would improve this. - we have great access to the Hive (council/University partnership) . Sports facilities in terms of the Gyms are up to date and modern however most sports groups e.g. rowing have insufficient funding so equipment and facilities are poor.

Brilliant! The city is not too big, but yet has all that you will ever need. Birmingham is just a short train journey away if you need to go serious shopping. Worcester night life is great and you can always feel safe.

A good range, however funding from the SU is insufficient. The sports clubs aren't too competitive so if you're not the best you won't be kicked out, this is great if you have never tried the sport before.

Support from the Uni is excellent, my personal academic tutor is great. Very understanding and knowledgable, tutorials happen at least twice a semester and lecturers are always quick to answer emails for and queries you may have. Tutorials are a great way to get help with something you couldn't quite understand in lecture or if you simply just need words of encouragement to give you a boost halfway through a semester.

I am really enjoying my time at Worcester. I find the students are friendly, and the staff are professional, but understanding. The university always has an event or social happening, so there is always lots to do. I will be sad to leave Worcester!

Work experience module was very useful. Public health nutrition lecturer has explained as given examples of the different work places related to nutrition.

Most- Case studies, which helps put me in a situation that will occur if I become a dietitian. I find the lectures very interesting. Least- I find the course, and teaching quite unorganised.

I am the secretary of the nutrition society. I think the SU is well organised, and always someone available to talk to. They take time and effort to make events that students would be interested in.

Very good. Nearly always space in Pierson or the Hive.

I find the city life perfect, because there is always something going on, but it’s not too busy and manic. Shops, restaurants and night clubs are always fab.

Very welcoming, and friendly. I am part of the nutrition society and we try and be open and involve everyone.

Very slow replies for emails, which creates a lot of stress when I have deadlines. Takes a few weeks to see a tutor because they are so busy.
