Great uni for support with your course! Will accommodate to students going through any type of difficulty. Don’t listen to the bad rep!! I’ve had a great time over the course of my foundation year and 1st year. Only improvement would be student life/night life but I guess you can only ask for so much in Wolverhampton 🤭. The SU are great, I’ve seen them resolve really tricky issues for other students and the lecturers will go out of their way to help. Overall, the University of Wolverhampton is a great uni to go to if you just want to get your qualifications and access extra support :)

I’d prefer a little more time doing practical nursing skills in the labs, but most of our sessions are face to face which I find really useful :) it’s a lot more engaging than lots of online sessions

Cost of living is awful everywhere but the uni is in a good location, everything you need is only a 15 min journey away! I’ve really struggled finding part time work here though, it might not be the same for everybody!

It has been an amazing journey so far , I have made new friends, I have been become comfortable around my lecturers who are ever ready to answer my questions. I have been stretch in a positive way to search for information in order to complete an assignment which I found very stressful to be honest.

The facilities are well equiped with toilet facilities in every building, free water fountains, restaurants, self-service snack machines. The buildings have distinct names on them. The library is massive with very helpful staff. The Student Services is also very helpful .

Good feedback with the use of personalised emails, good support from lecturers, academic coach and personal tutors as well mental health support from the Health and Well-being team. And the online chat with the Librarians is just amazing.

The students' Union was very helpful with organising the welcome week for new students in my case. They are always ready to sort out any enquiries, they organise campus tours for all new students, share freebies. They have a beautiful building with clean toilets and they also have a microwave. I do not have any situation where I need to be represented by this union but I am very sure they do a great job when it comes to that.

My university is located at the City centre thus very close to the high street shops and the open market. It is just about 10 minutes on the bus to my flat.

There a variety of societies within the university and students have been encourage to create new ones which helps them improve on team work and build leadership. There is a gym on campus where with a very small fees to be paid monthly by members.

The course is thought in a way that promotes self-directed study so students do not depend entirely on class lectures which I think is the best way to learn. I do not like to be assessed on assignments, I would rather sit an exams.

In my course it is a fifty fifty theory and practice. The practice is done within the university skills lab as well as on placement in hospitals as well as within the community. This boost my employability as you that the acquired theory and skills straight into the workplace.
