Well organised placement options, with a wide range of experiences

I’m really enjoying studying children’s nursing at USW, location is good, not too far from campus but train routes aren’t as frequent if you’re coming from some towns in the valleys, placements have been great, some modules have been interesting ( I prefer biology). Student support in terms of the disability service, counselling, mental health is fantastic, the lectures less so some lecturers are great they are more helpful, give better feedback and support than others, some can be rude. I really don’t like how much study is online. I wish support on assignments were better. Cardiff Campus is nicer and more modern but Glyntaff is also really nice. But other than that it’s been great, I’m still happy with my choice and would recommend USW for nursing.

I really don’t like the mostly online learning, I would argue it’s more online than blended, hopefully this will change in the coming years. Some subjects it can be harder to maintain engagement but that’s the same with every course there’s areas we like and don’t like. Most of the lectures are lovely, really helpful, give great feedback and others are awful with feedback. Contact with the lecturers are great they’re more than happy to help. The simulation facilities look fantastic, modern and up to date they are much better than some I’ve seen in England and why I chose USW
