Overall the university has been great over the past 2 years I have been there and above all else the support with students union advice has been impeccable! They have helped me so much and are always looking after the student’s best interests and signposting us to relevant sources when needed. I am so lucky to be able to say I study here at Queens University Belfast.

The course has been very informative and interactive. With small break out groups and activities along with intersim and clinical skills classes I have learnt so much from numerous teachers.

The public transport is great around belfast

QUB student support services are very useful and allow you to feel more relaxed when dealing with personal issues, all services make time to see you and try to help with your issues. There are loads of clubs and societies for you to join, all with their unique activities.

The facilities within the nursing clinical skills centre are adequate, although compared with the InterSim suite, they leave a lot to be desired. As opposed to other courses/universities uniforms, travel and accomodation for placements are all self-funded which is straining financially, forcing most students to have part-time jobs. As this course is a government-funded course, students do not receive student loans or grants, but instead rely on a small HSC bursary per month. As for the course - if is very full on with 9 placements to complete (unpaid) and academic studies alongside, but overall it is rewarding work.
