Tell us about your overall university experience so far.
The best aspects of my uni experience are:
1) The academic staff at my department (Music): most of them are really friendly, witty, welcoming and supportive.
2) It is located in a very peaceful, historically-rich (Don't know why York is not a UNESCO World Heritage site yet?) and bike-friendly city, and it takes only around 10 minutes to commute from Campust West to the city centre, probably 15 to the Rail Station (Campus East can be a bit further, but the bus works well).
3) The landscape around Heslington Hall is supreme, adorned with ducks and doves of all sorts, making it look really cool.
The worst of of my uni experiences are probably the young lads wandering and riding bikes on one wheel around the university, and sometimes places where cyclists are told to dismount - they are indeed very intimidating.

The best aspects of my courses are some of my lecturers (as said previously): They are very supportive, friendly and nice, and they will be there to give me a hand anytime I need them. Contact with lecturers are generally easy, even though sometimes it takes them for a while to answer your email (understandably because they are busy).
The course hours are generally fine and reasonable (I'm doing 4.5 hours of lecture on a weekly basis, and I think it's fair enough). The course is taught 100% in-class, which can arguably be a bit of a hurdle to surmount in unforeseen circumstances (if one is sick for instance), but it engages people to communicate with other people, as well as the lecturers more lively.
The course content is thus far balanced.

What do you think about the safety, condition, location and cost of your accommodation?
The uni hall has been thus far great value for money. The only thing is that it is a 15-minute ride into city centre, which is arguably not close - and the closest bus station (to the centre) is around 10 minutes walking, which is not close either :)
