Great University for what I'm studying (music technology) but for say law for example probably not. Huge campus though split between Paisley Ayr and Hamilton but all parties are decent with students

UWS often gets a bashing when it comes to University rankings, but in all honesty it has been an absolute pleasure to study here. One of my favourite things about studying at UWS is the excellent compatibility with the modern job-market. The university encourages students to attend all the right networking events and ensures that we do so from the moment we arrive. On my course specifically, the facilities are outstanding. Not only is all the equipment of a high standard, but there isn't a shortage of it either so there are never any quarrels over who's using what. Personally, I haven't needed to use any student support, but the university's website (and social media) is always clear about what they have to offer. The lecturers are usually willing to help when a student needs it and are generally very approachable. Out of all of the student halls I've visited, the Storie Street halls are the best I have seen. Whilst they are a little more expensive than some halls, they are most definitely worth it. I've given the city life a three star because (as most people who study at UWS know) the Paisley nightlife is not so hot to say the least. The union is always a great night out and there's a few nice bars in the area but overall it's pretty shabby. Luckily, we are very close to Glasgow so we almost always head there for a night out.
