Best: Central location, great facilities, research is cutting-edge and one of the best in the world, the people are friendly, and since my campus (Guy's Hospital), is situated around an actual hospital, the work is very hands on. Worst: There isn't much of a campus feel, PhD students don't have as many socials to integrate to

As a PhD programme, the course itself doesn't have much teaching, but the research, department, and faculties are top-notch. The career prospects, travel grants, and placements that can be carried out during the course of the PhD are also phenomenal. Worst aspects are that the project is largely autonomous, so the tutor contact time is a little lower and as a result it's easy to feel a little lost.

Best: people/staff/lecturers are very supportive, the AKC programme is also a nice touch to get education outside one's field Worst: some campuses are pretty remote (e.g. Denmark Hill campus) and thus difficult to get to
