The balance between academic and social life is perfect at KCL; there is a clear drive in all of the students, but the weekly socials are still so fun and people are extroverted too! The mental health and student support is brilliant too.

The majority of the lecturers are very engaging, and all the lecture content is recorded and uploaded which really helps. The course is quite content-heavy, especially in 2nd year (and I think it'll get harder from here haha)

Very sociable, kept clean and security is really good!! There is a neighbour across from the accommodation who complains a lot, but security handle it very well.

King's is stellar in everything except the location of the Denmark Hill campus, where my course is based and all my classes are conducted. I understand that that's something that is not going to change though.

I love how we get a diversity of backgrounds of the professors/researchers that come in for our lectures. There have been some whose credentials I was absolutely starstruck by, both inside and outside of KCL, and the level is incredible generally as well. I also love how they all seem very accessible and I and many of my classmates have had extensive conversations with many of them outside of lecture as well. Lastly, I want to give big props to the program administrative team who have been amazing about student support, and KCL in general does seem to have great provisions for us - sometimes more than my US undergrad program did (which was a pleasant surprise as I had heard from students of other London universities that the feel like they have to fend for themselves completely). Downsides, this will sound weird but I honestly think my only complaint is that many of the topics we had lectures on deserved a lot more hours to expand on these topics. Dr. Dag Aarsland, who just gave us a lecture for the Neurodegeneration B module, for example, was very concise yet we could not go through the extent he wanted to teach in the one hour he had. I remember other lectures in the A modules as well where I felt the same. On the other hand, I think the statistics workshops in R were too long and some of that time could maybe be used for these other topics instead. In general, we have way fewer lecture hours than I expected before starting the MSc and we could be busier with those.
