I think this year has been really good so far and I have learnt a lot from the theory and practical side. There is support with everything from referencing and help with essays to mental health and medical support. I really recommend the university of Hertfordshire if you want a great support network and teaching aspects

As I have only been into university for skills day they actually have a separate place where we go to the skills lab which is located about 5 minutes from the university. The equipment is amazing there and on campus it is a really nice place to be

I have personally received quite a lot of help from student support since being at the university and they have always been so helpful and put the student first, advising on all services which are available and more

I have been learning all online with a few skills sessions and also going into hospitals for placement. Although it has been hard and a learning curve for both students and lecturers, they have dealt with it so well and tried to put a course that’s so practical into the best theory they could have. They have been so supportive and understanding through these times and our personal tutors are always there to help us and speak if we need support about anything wether it be someone to just speak to or about university work. It has been great to be able to get out into placement and there was a lot of hard work from the lecturers that took place to make this happen due to COVID. I am lucky to be doing a midwifery course at this university. We do blocks of placement and blocks of theory where we have 9-5 lectures 5 days a week which is great

This university gives such a good opportunity for a job when I graduate as if we choose to stay at the hospital we are training at we go into a higher band straight away and we have had the experience of working there
