Coming to the university of sheffield is one of the best decsions I have made in my life. It really has given me great experiences and I have met the best of friends. One thing you must remember though, university lifestyle and experince is not just about all the parties and nights out, yeah they are great but you have to remember you are paying £9000 a year so dont leave without a qaulification or degree! Work extremly hard and do wellbut dont forget to party! I owuld reocmmend sheffield for a balance of both worlds.

I am finding my course challenging but that is not the universitys fault its my own brain capacity. I really love my university and think that the course and lectures are fun and challenging. I think because of the nature of the subject I have taken I tend to spend more time in whilst my flat mates are out. However i do manage to get out and when i do i love it. Halls is expensive but i think its the cherry on the cake to the university experince and its great living without anyone to tell you what to do. My friends are all lovely and i soend half of my time in nexts doors flat because the atmosphere at university is such a good friendly one you can go anywhere and fit in and make friends. Sheffield is not the worlds best city however it caters for everything i need. I joined a tea drinking society that is how unique the societies are and im sure youll find one that suits you and this just means youll find more friends. The students union is good and lots of people spend alot of time there however i spend more time in librarys and in my halls. There is also lots of volunteering opportunities however finding one that will enhance your personal cv may be harder than you think.
