Lovely university with experts in the field. Is a large campus with the city at it's centre so you get the best of both worlds. Is more of a loud and event based ethos than a calmer university experience which some might find difficult.
Facilities
How good are your university's facilities?
The library is not as great as it is always full and there are more desk space than computers which might be something to consider if you don't have a laptop. There are 4 libraries so a variety is available across campus. There is a large gym and large union to meet all of your needs.
Student support
How good is the support offered by the uni? Think both academic (tutors/feedback) and personal (counselling, etc).
I personally felt that the bureaucratic nature of this university was confusing. Knowing who to contact and where to go when problems arise was difficult. But staff were super supportive from my department and helped me direct whenever I needed assistance.
Lecturers and teaching quality
What do you like most and least about the way your course(s) are taught?
Pre-covid: In person with a mix of seminars, labs, lectures and tutorials. You had experts telling you about their field who were greatly interested and involved with their course. Teaching was structured and lecturers were always available to help.
How many contact hours per week do you have?
12
Career prospects
How does your uni make efforts to increase your employability (careers department, work placements, transferable skills)?
Lots of job fairs and online events to help network
