It has been dissapointing to be almost entirely online this year, however I don't believe my learning has been dramatically effected. We've been able to contact lecturers whenever we needed to and the support has been so helpful this year.

There are plently of IT services available to students, most being located in the library, including equipment hire and IT support. Shared spaces are kept fairly clean too.

There is a wellbeing service at the uni which has been offered to us throughout the pandemic (and before), as well as loads of other services provided through the students union.

This year our coure has been almost completely taught online, with a few optional in person drop in sessions. The teahing hours have gone from around 20 hours in 1st year to 7 hours in 3rd year. Our tutors have drop in sessions every week if we have any questions, you can also go see any other lecturer. The academic support has been very good this year, we've had weekly updates from the uni and provided with ways to contact different services if needed.

The careers service has been great fro helping to apply to placements and graduate roles as well as CV checks and mock interviews. There are also many placement opportunities advertised, although I know many people who struggled to get one in the last year.

The library being opened 24/7 is very useful if you need to get a lot done. Makes it easier to go at night times as i can go home when it’s bright in the morning. I think investing in more copies for certain books in the library would be good as it’s hard to get one available.

Usually there are online versions of lectures (previous recordings etc.) which fills me with confidence for the days i’m not feeling well or if i want to revisit a topic.

Very expensive for poor facilities. In first year my front door didn’t lock and no one came to fix it after we complained about it. Didn’t have very welcoming flatmates (used to knock on our doors at 3am shouting for us to wake up as a joke). We also complained about this because we didn’t feel as safe at night time, but again nothing was done. The washing machines were always very difficult to get as a couple hundred people were sharing around 8-10 washing machines. Dryers also didn’t dry clothes so had to run it through the machine 2-3 times which costed too much for laundry.
