Given the circumstances, I think things have been run well. The lecturers work hard to ensure the course is well organised and good quality teaching is delivered. I do think that working online has negatively impacted the learning experience, generally through no fault of the lecturers.

Some good new lecture theatres. Very good library and study spaces. Lots of computer availability within the engineering department too. Labs are decently kitted out. Some buildings are a little 1970s and dated but no major issues.

The college system makes welfare support really easy to access. The engineering department themselves are also good at responding to any issues and making allowances if necessary.

Usually in person, online this year with some lab time and practical courses. Very heavily lecture based, which means you don’t interact with your professors much. But weekly office hours for each lecturer where they are very helpful and open to questions. Lecturers do also answer questions during lectures - but there isn’t much discussion in lectures generally.

Careers fairs and events often. Modules or elements of modules which work specifically to improve our skills for the workplace and employability.

Durham University is a great place to start your career.The city is big enough, many beautiful places, churches, a lot of historical sites. For traveling is also a good attraction so imagine how it is to live in here :)
