The Headingley campus is a lovely place to be, thriving from how vibrant the surrounding area is. It has a true feeling of community and you have such a sense of purpose whilst on campus. The only complaint of me and my course mates is that we used to love going to the Headingley student Union between lectures, which has since closed. Regardless however, the social life in Leeds itself is fantastic, I’ve never been to a city with so many student centred bars and clubs. Public transport is quick and reliable, as well as cheap, and most places are an easy walk anyway. I currently live by Woodhouse Moor, which has allowed me to continue to fuel my passion for skateboarding, as well as have a great green space very accessible to me. I have loved getting to know Leeds as a student over the past two years and I am excited to continue to do so.

The course I am doing is a mixture of very hands-on practical elements of the events industry, paired with lots of textbook safety, business management and manual writing. Though the practical element is often slightly more engaging, the lecturers we have are competent and fun, teaching everything to a high but graspable standard whilst ensuring the lectures themselves don’t drag. I am glad I chose to do this course and I am confident I will be able to find good career prospects from it, having all the help to do so

Mill Street was an incredibly vibrant and social community, with things always going on. It was incredibly good value for money and truly felt like a home, with cozy bedrooms, spacious sofas, a reliable TV and other appliances, and a real sense of belonging somewhere. I loved my time there!

The lifestyle, the community, feels quite homely and fun, easy to make friends, social spaces, study spaces and seating, more food areas with different better food options would be nice and the SU the hive being open again!

More course hours would be sooo useful or like a scheduled work time for course/ assignment help support from each module weekly such as a drop in (optional or not) where we spend one hour with each tutor per week to just focus on our module and have someone there for questions and support and have that weekly 1:1 availability for specific questions we’ve thought up over the week or the extra help.

The social aspect!!! Drinking, pubs, night outs, uni social life, new friends, music events, gigs, there is honestly always so much to do. The vintage fairs and fashion trends.

The gym and theatre room and social spaces were amazing! The social aspect of it helped me make my uni friends who are my friends for life! Really learnt important skills living there. The on-site security and gated doors help make you feel safe! I’d probably just suggest especially with B block to fit students who are similar together - similar age, course, interested etc. I think C and A block get a better rep for the social aspect than B block for students.
