Student Union is very good and have very handy services for a range of needs (+1 star), even down to advice or signposting you to appropriations sources of help within the uni (+1 star). It has a nice range of societies, student-led and all unique; having only joined societies in my second year, I can say being a part of them definitely does improve student life to a noticeable effect (+1 star). Food on campus in the Fusion building can be a pricey - however, food served in Dylan’s Bar and Kitchen in Poole House is actually nice and prices are fairly considerate (+1 star).

As a student registered with Additional Learning Support, lectures are understanding and will do their best to accommodate any needs or requests beyond those stated on my file. They are all clearly passionate about their interests and sometimes include content that may not be examined but are still of relevance and interest, and never turn down a question. Lectures and teaching are generally okay - quality and standards MAY vary with individual lectures, so being proactive and developing a tendency for taking material prior to delivery and learning it yourself as much as you can may ease this situation. Contact with lecturers in generally okay. Online lectures aren’t so common, understandably, but this can sometimes affect students with circumstances. However, one lecturer does prerecorded lectures that are shorter and more concise (which may inhibit opportunity for further examples or explanations or question answering) and do not fully replace the benefits of attending classes in person - these are brilliant for revision and I wish these were more common.

What do you think about the safety, condition, location and cost of your accommodation?
Location - it is near everything like clubs and food places, and the bus ride to Talbot campus is not too long. Safety is good - visitors need ID to enter the premises. Rooms are OKAY - size of the bedrooms are the nicest aspect aspect, otherwise they’re just okay and average. Internet and wi-fi - pretty good. Value for money - after seeing other accommodations and after living in a different halls/accom this year, Lansdowne Point doesn’t win and I wouldn’t immediately recommend it. One reason is that places have more services or benefits that LP doesn’t include. Property management - was not entirely pleased with how some complaints were handled in terms of efficiency and outcomes.
