The university offers a great environment for studying with its attractive buildings. However, there are times when the library and other study places are too crowded, making it difficult to find a desk. The campus has great food options, with Byres Road just around the corner. Additionally, there are many societies, making student life amazing and offering many opportunities to meet awesome people. However, student support can be lacking, as most professors may not be receptive to students' concerns or needs, although some are genuinely supportive.

The course overall is very informative and thorough. You will definitely find out what part of Chemistry you like and dislike. Some lectures are very dry, and you just need to memorise a lot. However, some lecturers make effort to deliver the courses in a more fun way. It really depends on the academics. Some give you nice feedback, from which you will actually be able to improve, some give you as little feedback as possible. Also, the whole course is in-person, which gives you an opportunity to socialise and take part in every aspect of university.

What do you think about the safety, condition, location and cost of your accommodation?
What I like most about the university's halls is the opportunity to meet new people easily and build a social life. However, the least liked aspect is living with random roommates whose cleaning habits may not align, leading to potential messiness. Additionally, the limited heating hours can be inconvenient during colder months.

I think Glasgow is a great city for a student to live in, it has a immersive campus which makes you settle in a lot faster than if it were a city campus. It follows the more American style of campus which I like and I think it makes the whole experience a lot more memorable. There is a lot of history with this university which makes it feel special and being a part of such a big and reputable university is something to be proud of. The lecture theatres are all very unique and I like the blend between modern and old buildings. Good libraries all around the campus and high quality teaching. The chemistry department especially is very well run and the smaller cohorts make for a more enjoyable and personal learning experience.

Good overall, contact time with lecturers is around 3-4 hours a week. The labs are well run and organised. Tutorial sessions happen three times a week which are helpful with going over lecture content and exam type questions. Course hours are around 20 hours per week with some closer to 30.

What do you think about the safety, condition, location and cost of your accommodation?
It was a nice and quiet location, around 25 minute walk to campus. The downside was that the rooms were quite small for what you paid but that's how most university accommodations are so nothing special. Kitchen was cleaned once a week which was a nice addition. Common room was good too.
