I think that Huddersfield University is a great place to study! So far I have really enjoyed my time here for the past few months. It’s close to home and gives you a good experience of uni life. I feel as though it was easy for me to ease into the first few days and make a couple friends.

So far I am enjoying my course. The hours aren’t bad since I’m only in for 4 days a week. I do feel like some of the lectures we sit aren’t as useful towards our sessions but still good to attend. I mostly enjoy the practical sessions and being able to get involved rather than just sitting and listening to the teachers.

It is an amazing place to study because of the location, its easy to get to and its near Manchester and Leeds on the train. The Student Union is amazing and extremely accommodating to everyone. With our networks it allows people to feel safe within our campus and discussing experiences each of us have had. The wide range of courses allows everyone reach the career that they dream of which is amazing. Some things that would make it better is allow more funding into our Arts & Humanities Department due to the lack of funding this year means the loss of several key staff members so it had been a struggle to adjust to this.

All of the course is on campus (unless staff members are ill), the lecturers are fabulous besides the odd few which aren’t as accessible but from the modules I have taken this year I have learned so much. In my first term, I was in 4 days awake and this term is 2 days a week due to only doing 2 modules this term so it can vary!

Storthes Hall Park has been amazing to stay out, it is out the way with an accessible bus which takes you into the town centre. All the staff who work here are amazing at what they do. Our maintenance team are always quick to do fix something in case you have something wrong such as shower pressure or temperature is not what it should be. We have a restaurant on site which we get discount at, we have shop as well!
