Best: -level of teaching is great, lecturers are nice -the degree i'm taking challenges me -loads of places to study -great access via underground or buses from city centre and uni -both unions are superb, with the QMU having better events while GUU has better food and building -local spots to eat and drink -moodle and UofG life services are really helpful -companies on campus and career fairs Worst -st Andrews building being away from main campus - newer buildings aren't very good looking and have little good places to study. Stools with no back support are terrible and the majority in all the new buildings -bus going into the city centre is always late without fail -library is hard to navigate, mabey have a leaflet/webpage on how to understand the shelf layouts/find books more effectivly

My degree currently has 3hrs a day of lecture. All lecturers have been/are really emgaging and explain the topics well. Frequent stack quizzes, i find these really useful Online notes, they are good if it is one pdf containing everything and are the best when they reference a textbook for further reading

Amazing campus and a quality education. Great support form lecturers and tutors as well as a caring disability service. 2 student unions with quality events, always somehing to do!

This uni is very well equipped with the latest hardware and software. The IT team also do a fantastic job ensuring that computers in the library and lecture theatres are always working. There is also plenty of printers for student use.

From personal experience I can say that the unibgas a fantastic and caring disability service. Replies to queries and issues are always fast and with little fuss. The student learning service also provides free maths and stats tutoring for first year which is a fantastic resourse to have access to

2 student unions both of which are amazing and provide different experiences and different types of events. Lots of live music at QMU and plenty of bars and themed nights at the GUU. Oh yeah, and freshers was amazing

The uni has a couple of night clubs and nice shops and coffee houses in close proximity. It is also close to the city centre with access by walking, bus, train and subway. There are lots of clubs and nice places to go in the city centre. Student nice is usually quite cheap and popular.

There is a massive number of clubs and societies at the university. There is everything from a pole dancing society to a maths society. From experience I can say that the maths society host fantastic cheese ane wine as wekk as cocktails and cake nights.

I love my course! Challenging and also extremely enjoyable. Exactly what you want. Lecture halls are warm, clean and tidy and hence pleasant to sit in.

Being in first year I haven't experienced much about the job prospects yet. However, there is always fairs and events on That aim to allow you to successful network with potential employers and also gain an insight to possible future career fields.

I stay at home and not in halls so I can't provide much insight. However, I can say that the floors in most halls are extremely uncomfortable and are guaranteed to leave you waking up aches and pains as well as an extremely displeasing hangover.
