Brilliant. Exceptional staff arranged around my timetable. Why does anyone bother to do a FT course when they can do one whilst earning a good wage? It seems far too many universities are designed for people to spend all their time socialising rather than studying. Birkbeck is the perfect antidote to this, as the more mature nature of the students focuses attention to what is important: the study.

Needs more common areas to study. Why are there no department common rooms in the maths department? Next to impossible to find out-of-timetable rooms to study. No area in library where people can talk & discuss material.

Very friendly, knowledgable staff. Loads of support guides online and in hardcopy format for anyone who needs it.

Seems designed for 18 year olds as if a normal university, despite being a university for adults.

Again, societies and union seem designed for a full-time uni for kids. Most meetings are in lecture times (18-2100). Birkbeck's strength is its PT evening nature- why dont more societies cater to us?

Mathematics department has some of the leading researchers into my areas of interest.

Birbeck is a good university and I am enjoying my studies here. I have no idea about the clubs and societies here - I think they are pretty redundant for a night university. We need more computers in the library and it would be good if they sold coffee there too.
