As an international student the worst aspect of uni is settling in and getting over the home sickness. However, the university of york has provided so many support channels all run by genuinely nice people who care for you. Everyone i’ve met in uni are so welcoming and the green campus is so comforting. i love it

Choosing a course I like and having lecturers that make it more interesting is honestly a blessing

I love my accommodation. We have weekly kitchen clean ups and have rules regarding the tidiness that are necessary

The faculty is really helpful. Student Union is always on the move tackling one problem at a time. The location is so pretty and picturesque. All of these add up to making my student life enjoyable and enabling me to have a great study space in the right state of mind

I understand this course needs to have compulsory modules and hence the start of the course can be drifted from the main content of the course. I would like to have some hands-on experience that are offered by some universities as part of the course. While university needs students to practice self study, I would still expect the lecturers to give in-depth teaching on certain concepts. The tutor are really helpful throughout the term and respond to 1-to-1 sessions quickly.

I would like for certain amenities like the radiator to work better especially during the winter. Otherwise, we are offered with things like weekly college meal and which increase the value for money.
