The best thing about the UoR has to be the Campus. It is very well preserved and it really gives students a chance to refresh their minds in between lectures. Next I would highly praise the Library. It is a beautiful facility and it has extremely helped me with my studies so far. The staff are also extremely helpful and I have never had a bad experience. One thing which can be improved (despite it not being the University’s fault) is the lack of supermarkets near Campus. I always find myself travelling quite far in order to avoid the small overpriced shops around campus.

My course us taught by very enthusiastic professors who clearly display their love for teaching in every Lecture. I always love the fact all of the content is placed online, this makes it extremely convenient for me as I need to sometimes miss lectures to help relatives with work. One thing I would change is add more trips or hands on sessions. Sometimes It can feel like many of my lectures consist of non stop note taking which while useful can be quite exhausting.

I love the location. Its outside of Campus however I deliberately chose it because of that. It is also extremely safe, we have security patrolling the area non stop and it really feels like a student only area. Another convenience is the Amazon Lockers which are close by making online shopping very comfortable. If I could change anything it would be the doors on the halls. Since they leave a small gap at the bottom (around 2 fingers wide) the rooms are not soundproof in the slightest and it can be easy to hear through even if you are not trying.

I like the facilitates and life around the uni however I’m on placement year and I wasn’t told about the £1400 lump sum to undergo my placement or the fact that I have received 1 call from the university to check on my progress in almost 7 months.

Could be more in depth teaching and showing us how to apply this knowledge

Bit expensive for what you get in reality I would recommend it though
