I didn't really know what to expect when I was coming to the University of Stirling, but after spending a semester and summer here I can only say it has been quite an experience. The University designed a really great zero unit course that gave deep insights on everything that is expected from us as a student and also importantly how it is going to support every step of the way to make it possible. Also, the modules are well structured with very approachable professors. With vast library resources, student learning services help, sessions and events all around campus, it didn't feel so overwhelming as it could have been as an international student. I was never alone. However, one thing that could have been done better is the mental health support. I was able to access this support but it wasn't delivered in the way I would have wanted and sessions were really limited. Other than this, I love Stirling and I could not have chosen a better place to study.

As a full time masters student, I have 1 year to complete my course. Most of my classes are held in class with lecturer on the stage delivering the lectures. It is also recorded and available to be re-watched later in case one missed out on anything. Lecturers are very engaging and my favorite part are the seminar classes. We are able to have discussions and hear varying perspectives and ideas. I feel safe in the class to share my opinions without the fear of being shut down or criticized. As a January intake student, I didn't get the chance to do the work placement and was really sad about this and I wish there was a way around it where everyone gets equal opportunities irrespective of what cohort they came from.

Beech Court is one of the best on campus accommodation. I live in an ensuite room and I share kitchen space with my flat mates. The room is a reasonable size with a comfortable mattress. study table and chair is also fine. The highlight for me is that I get to have my personal bathroom. My flat mates and I take turns to empty the bins on a roster basis. We've also got a cleaner to deep clean fortnightly. Overall, its been a great experience.
