In summary, I am so glad that I chose the University of Chester to start my second Master’s study. The reason why I chose MSc Creative Industries Management as my major is mainly because the course is taught at Warrington Campus where has few Chinese students, which can help me dive in the overseas study and the British culture in a short time, less chance for gathering with Chinese people or speaking Chinese. For me, positively, my Uni experience is like studying at a “boarding high school” that I study, live, work out, play sports within the campus. We’ve got everything that students need in the campus: restaurant, bookstore, gym, library, Starbucks, accommodation, teaching building. With 24h WiFi and 24h security patrol, it’s a lovely and safe place to enjoy the overseas study life. Also, it’s convenient to travel to Liverpool or Manchester, just 30-40 minutes by train. Free shuttles bus 4 times daily to the campuses in Chester.

There is Career Hub, and Caree and Employability Team, the staff there helped me with my CV & CL revising.

It’s a in-class course, contain 6 modules, including 2 media-related modules and 4 management-related modules. I self-studied media software to edit videos that I shot, dubbing background music and various transition effects.

It’s a en-suite type with independent bathroom and shared kitchen, 24h WiFi covered. It’s a safe place where only people with student cards can get in. Usually, I shared the kitchen with another 5 students. We’ve got almost everything in the kitchen, kettle, toaster, microwave, oven, stove, 2 fridges.

We have 7 independent campuses. Almost every campus has its own library. If you can’t find the reference you need in your own campus, just order the book online from the others, and the Uni staff will transfer the book to you. Ofc, for free. We’ve got PC, printer, snack machine in the libraries.

Chester is a beautiful old roman city, where you can find peace and safety, with few immigrants. Many types of restaurants you can find to satisfy yourself, since Chester is famous for its tourism globally.

I joined the Net Ball team in Warrington. It’s my first time playing net ball. But the local girls helped me a lot to learn the sport and play it well.

I almost booked every session from the Study Skills Group, which helped me a lot to adapt in the British education. Also, I booked many tutorials with English for Academic Purpose Team to help me with checking grammar mistakes and any language issues in my essays.

I also met some of my best friends at university who I am overwhelmed with love and care for and that is always going to be down to the University of Chester obviously put us in the right place at the right time!

The University has really made an effort with providing helpful information for your future employability in terms of having a lot of different individuals coming from different companies to talk to you about what their companies look for and there's always been a lot of career fairs which are held on a regular basis to enable people to go in and see these companies and individuals representatives Who they could get more information from and to talk to about any employment opportunities or placements that are available. As part of a university student at the University of Chester every single student is required to undertake a work placement as part of your second year degree level which enables you to, for five weeks be a part of an industry and be in a company where you can learn skills and get a better understanding of the way that they operate. You were also given a lot of support from the student support teams and the library was always holding different events which were to expand peoples skills and opportunities where they could learn more things to do with computers and CVs and interview skills and a basic range of different things which are transferable across different areas and different industries

I like the way that the lecturers got involved with the students and made them feel a part of the learning process and I liked the way that they made things interesting with trips and personal stories which made things easier to understand as it was able to be seen in a real life context. The thing I didn't like the most would be the 9 ams!

There was always a lot of advertisements and details being presented to students and faculty about the representation and support that was available for you as a student or as a member of staff should you need it and you knew that there was always somewhere that you could go if you needed more support and advice as the student union office was on the main campus which everyone as a student was able to get to because of the great location. That was always emails being sent out which enabled you to know that there was help and support and advice available to you should you ever need it and there was always information to be found online detailing the different things that the student union was able to provide and guide over.

The University had a lot of different facilities on offer ranging from the sports spaces to the library and learning areas and also a lot of different café meeting and eating spaces which gave way for everyone to have access to the type of areas they need. The University is also Highly adapted to provide accessibility to every type of person whether able-bodied or otherwise and there was always options for additional support for those that may need. For example I needed to use a computer in exams because I was not able to hold a pen for the length of time required and this was something that was easily sorted making my entire educational experience in both my undergrad and postgrad at the University of Chester easier and more enjoyable

The Walk to my university campus from my housing was through town and over a bridge and it was a very easy and efficient path to take with options to go alternative ways should I want to go shopping. The walk overall took about twenty minutes to thirty minutes depending on foot traffic and time of day and was of an affordable distance via a taxi should I require one because of bad weather. Get to local amenities from the University campus you've just had to walk down the road or to go into the main city centre you just had to walk over footbridge which is easily accessible from the campus making an overall great location to reach to different things but also to have a little bit of security and privacy that you would like from a university campus as it wasn't being over run by pedestrians and the general public

There was so many sports in society options available across the different types of interest which meant that there was an option for everyone that was willing or wanting to partake in a society or sport meaning everyone was able to find someone with like minded views and was able to feel a part of something that they also enjoyed which I thought was really nice because obviously coming to university can be scary but at least the societies and Sport options meant there was a place for everyone to feel comfortable

I was really happy with the support given to me by the different parchment which made having a disability easier to navigate with the normal activities of university life and that would be because of the support and advice that they were able to provide. In terms of lecturers obviously in occasion there would be some feedback which maybe wasn't clear but that could be discussed and clarified easily
