I love John Moores uni. Spending time with my friends is so important. I love my course. Moving away from home is the best thing I could have done

Liverpool has got to be one of the best cities to study in, it has so much to offer both inside and outside of studies. John Moores has been the perfect fit for me, the people are so welcoming and the course is so varied. I’ve made friends from all over the world just from being in the city itself, and met friends for life on my course.

English obviously doesn’t require as many contact hours as most other degrees, but the hours that we have as a group are extremely valuable. The library is easy access and perfect for an English student who has lots of reading to do. There are some texts that you might want to purchase yourself so you can highlight the pages but most are available in the library to borrow. There’s also a couple of trips that I didn’t expect on this course, for example, we’re going to Venice for our Postcolonial studies this year. Over all, the course is brilliant, really varied and I feel like I’ve learnt something different from each module.
