The best part of SOAS is that the campus is full of diversity and anyone would feel home. Not only students but also tutors are all so friendly and I’m been feeling welcomed all the time. The worst part is that the office functions are not really clear and sometimes it is confusing who is in charge of what.

My course is very flexible and students are free to choose either coming to the classroom or joining from home online. Even when students are away, they all can freely join the discussion, and lecturers are also very welcome. Having fruitful discussion with all class mates and lecturers is the best part in my course. The worst part is that there are not so many options of modules. But this is fine for me, who focuses on Japanese translation because it is enough covered. Students who does non- East Asian language may struggle with finding the best modules.

No

It has a less Eurocentric attitude, unique courses and a great location. Because of these niche focuses however it doesn’t have as strong of general provisions as certain other universities, which is an unavoidable consequence

As a language student there is heavy in class content and my lecturers are readily available.
