Best: Everything is within walking distance! I can walk everywhere which supports my mental health. Further, the range of societies available at Sheffield means I can try something new, continue with the hobbies I had before I came and meet so many like minded people. Academic-wise, the opportunities to study abroad as part of the law department. Improvements: Support for students after their year abroad. I found there was plenty of support prior to the year abroad where we could contact others going abroad and prepare. It felt like the check in with students who have come back from abroad was even more valuable especially during the re-settling period.

The lecturers all have clear hours every week set aside to support students in a 1-2-1 sessions. The number of lectures and seminars are appropriate for the amount of workload. I like the fact everything is in person, but lectures are recorded to support my learning.

Ranmoor is located around a 30 minute walk from the university. As many people also live there, I did not mind the walk too much as I often had company. I did get used to the walk over the year but know many people thought it was too far and opted to take the bus. The room allocation was great as we got to write a profile and self select our rooms. There were a few errors such as which floor you would be on but overall, it meant I was able to find those who are in my flat, before arriving at the university. One issue is the main door you needed a fob to get through, it kept being left open. When the issue was reported, it was dealt with right away but it was very frustrating that someone kept leaving it unlocked.

I enjoyed the facilities and Union which made navigating university life easier, I also like the support available for students I would like if there were more opportunities to help socialise held I'm university areas like the union as I struggled to socialise through societies and class
