I absolutely love that the library is open 24:7 - my lectures often finish late but I can still access study resources if I need them. So far I’m also hugely impressed with the disability support team, who’ve been fantastic at helping me out. Lectures are in-depth and interesting; there’s always room to take a concept further and staff are brilliant at signposting useful resources, for assignments and wider reading. My only real complaint at the moment is the lack of car parking space at the campus where I’m currently based!

My course is taught part time, which means I only attend university a maximum of two days a week, which is perfect for me - I’m much better able to balance studying with everything else this way. Although it’s quite a low-contact course, tutors and lecturers are always available by email and willing to help out, so it doesn’t ever feel like we don’t get enough time. I was also lucky on a day I couldn’t attend university due to illness that my lecturer very kindly recorded the sessions I was missing, so that I could catch up later.

The University of Gloucestershire offers an excellent study environment. The teaching facilities, particularly the modern lecture rooms at the Oxstalls campus, are impressive, and the academic staff are both welcoming and highly knowledgeable. That said, the overall student experience could be further enhanced by investing in upgraded social spaces and organising more regular on-campus events to encourage greater interaction and community spirit among students.

One of the aspects I truly appreciate about my course is the flexible timetable, which allows me to attend classes on specific days and gives me ample time for personal study, reflection, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Additionally, if it were possible to accelerate the programme and complete my degree in three years instead of the standard duration, I would very much welcome that option.
