I think the St Peter’s Location is a great choice as it is scenic and it’s not too far away from the city centre or Seaburn so it’s handy when on breaks. The Law facilities are good, like the mooting court and the Law Clinic. The lecture rooms are pretty basic just a few interactive whiteboards and teachers relaying the information from the PowerPoints. The workshops are very good for practical skills. The hybrid learning (some online and in person) is handy for flexibility. I haven’t interacted much with the student union because I’ve never heard anything about them or what they do.

Sue Houchen is a great leader of the placement module and she lined me up with a great placement at Knights. Two weeks at one of the biggest firms in the country was a great opportunity and I developed a lot of my practical skills from there. All the law lectures are very helpful and want the best for their students. A lot of the law programme feels like it’s just information relayed from the PowerPoints but I’d imagine that’s just to make sure students understand it. The blended learning is great for flexibility as I work a job along side uni so it helps maintain both.
