Glasgow university is really diverse, which explains why it attracts a lot of international students. The quality of the lecturers and the lecturer’s are top notch. There is no doubt that they are highly skilled in the areas they teach. In addition to short courses on academic writing skills which advance research and essay writing skills, Glasgow uni also offers other short courses on LinkedIn and Group work to Teamwork, which increase employability after school. The platform used to deliver reading materials and assessments ‘Moodle’ is amazing. It centralised everything a student needs! Did I mention how massive and beautiful the uni is? It’s simply therapeutic and a fun place to hang out with friends.

Best aspects: the course is taught in a thought provoking manner. Rather than the usual conventional manner of the lecturer simply reading out lecturer notes, most lecturers encourage students to critically analyse the readings and even provide constructive criticisms. Worst aspects: I have not had the best learning experience during instances where a different lecturer stepped in when the course convenor was away for a seminar or two. This is majorly due to quality of the teaching delivered by the new lecturer who most times is not a specialist in the area.

What I love about my uni’s location is that since there are many students in the city, many restaurants provide student discounts What is not so great is that the cost of accommodation is higher in the city than outside the city

My accommodation is great. There a several fun and interactive activities done on a monthly basis. It has a gym, theatre, play area, study rooms - simply everything that I could ask for. It is also conveniently located in the city - it’s near the bus station, subway, train station and several eat outs. The thing I dislike is the cost of doing laundry (at least £5.90 (per wash&dry) and it costs even more for thorough washing. This is expensive for students and should be made free. Also, due to its location, the noise from outside (from police cars, ambulances) can be a bit of a nuisance.

Professors and staff are very nice, it's the best aspect. The worst part is the weather, cold and windy.

It's very useful and interesting.
