I have loved my time at university so far and am hoping to stay here for my master's. Bangor is a lovely place both inside of the university and the public. Everybody is really welcoming and helpful. I am looking forward to seeing what the rest of my time here at Bangor brings

My universities facilities are great. We have multiple bindings, 24/7 libraries, uni bank, employability clinics, enterprise hubs, and a boat to name a few. Even if there isn't something here you need (which is rare) the university has great connections outside too.

The support through tutors/feedback is great. We usually get the feedback quickly unless something has gone wrong with them which is incredibly rare. The feedback we have is good and detailed. However, if you would like to go over this in further detail then you can also book an appointment with your personal tutor or the course leader which is also beneficial as it shoes you how to improve for next time. The counselling is good to an extent as it is free and easily accessible. However, I personally had a bad experience with the counsellor I was allocated and therefore stopped going as she made me feel worse about my mental health every week I went. The counsellor I had laughed at my mental health during one session and after that I decided I wasn't going to go anymore.

My student union is great, I feel fairly represented and the facilities are easily accessible and diverse.

Yes it is in a very good location. Everything is probably no more than a 15 minute walk away.

Excellent! I love the fact they are all free, not only is it financially better for me but it also helps me to stay busy, involved in uni life, meet new people, and gain new skills!

What I like the most is the mixture of seminars, lectures, workshops and tutorials. It mixes it up a bit rather than going to two hour lectures 7 or 8 times a week. Not only that, but having the seminars allow us to go over the topics taught in class which consolidates the knowledge and allows us to go into more depth. The thing I like the least is perhaps the amount of expectation for students to know more when it comes to exams. In some we are told what will come up on the exam, for others we do not know and therefore have to revise everything which can not only be difficult but stressful and impacts on mental health.

Bangor university has an excellent BEA scheme (Bangor employability award). By participating in this, students can earn points for the activities that they complete such as work experience or volunteering. Depending on how many points you get depends on what award you achieve (bronze, silver or gold). I am currently working for my gold award and am only a few points away. In addition to this, the university offer an entire department to help with a variety of skills such as referencing, essay planning and CVs. Usually you get points for this too, but it is an entire department which is easily accessible and filled with friendly staff who will always go out for their way to help. It is a great opportunity / scheme for students to get involved in and can help develop a range of skills whilst supplying numerous opportunities some other universities may not be able to offer.
