The English team and the Linguistics team are full of fantastic, friendly staff who are amazing at their jobs. The two campuses are beautiful and are full of life, especially due to the great campus bars. The uni has provided many opportunities to make friends, have fun, engage in interests, study hard and has ensured a great time for all.

The course is taught very well, the seminars and lectures are very interesting and knowledge is consolidated well. One module utilises Problem Based Learning, which other students are critical of, but I feel that it is a good chance to experiment with learning in a different way, and feel indifferent to it

The house I live in is lovely, it is situated well and has great views, and it is easy to spot animals on campus from it. It is also close to recreational areas and the music practice rooms. The facilities are amazing, and any problems have been fixed quickly by the site team.

beautiful city with great facilities for students! student support is generally good but does differ across departments. yusu is also generally great and the societies are amazing

as its a joint honours course i feel that it is very restrictive and we have to do more core modules rather than focus on what we are interested in. less scope for doing optional modules. however, that is a very personal preference and many of my coursemates enjoy it

i was in an older accommodation and although it wasn’t great i still loved it and had a great time there! it is expensive to live on campus though
