I love it!!! It’s given me more independence and value. Moving out ultimately the best decision I made as it has given me freedom to create a new life and fresh experience for myself within the university’s campus.
Facilities
How good are your university's facilities?
I think they are very good, however the essay marking is horrendous as my dates were pushed back several times.
Student support
How good is the support offered by the uni? Think both academic (tutors/feedback) and personal (counselling, etc).
I think counciling is phenomenal however the academic feedback is slow as I did not receive essays back on time. Therefore I wasn’t able to use the feedback to improve my other essays
Students' union
What do you think of your Students' Union in terms of student representation and facilities?
The best union in Scotland! That says it all
Local life
Is your university in a good location in terms of distance to accommodation and local amenities?
Yes it’s perfect. I am not directly on campus so I still have some space from the uni but every thing from uni, to Tesco, to town is a 5 minute walk away.
Societies and Sports
How would you rate the variety of societies/sports?
Really good, although I wish there was a competitive cheer team
Lecturers and teaching quality
What do you like most and least about the way your course(s) are taught?
I love the tutorials and how they guide you
How many contact hours per week do you have?
14
Career prospects
How does your uni make efforts to increase your employability (careers department, work placements, transferable skills)?
It does make it a bit harder as it takes away my time and makes getting a job harder. Although I know in future having a degree will make me more employable.
