The worst aspect was the application and enrollment process, my CAS was delayed for more than month and I almost had to delay my arrival because I was scared I wouldn’t get my visa on time

I've been at DMU for 4 years. My undergraduate was the BSc in media production ,I started in 2019 (before COVID) and my first year experience was amazing. Coming from a rural community in Wales I never thought I would be able to make something of myself. At DMU they have really helped me find myself. Now as I'm doing my master degree and my understanding of what I want to do I'm more clear. The university has had its ups and down though COVID as every university, the staff, students and the DSU are all great. I run the student radio station, if you had told me that when I started I wouldn't of believed you. If your unsure of yourself, shy or even not that confident I couldn't recommend DMU more !

The Investigative journalism MA, has changed my life! The idea that I'm now a journalist is insane but with the help of the lectures and the Modules I have grown so much as a film maker. I've been able to go for two weeks in London on work experience thanks to the course. Having real experience in the media industry! Something I couldn't of done with our the support of the team of lectures who are experts in this field.

Leicester is one of the best city's for students. The night life and transport is great London is an hour away and Birmingham an 45 min train ride. The city is know for it's India population, they have the biggest Diwali celebration outside of India. It's one of the safest city's I've lived in but there is an occasional football fan fight .

I've lived there for 3 years and it's been fine but recently it's gone down hill a little. The location and price are great but the staff are not trained enough to deal with students. There are so many things that are breaking and I live with a Disabled student , we live in the 5th floor and the lift is broken. They haven't moved us and instead say they can't do anything.
