Our course has struggled to focus. It felt all over the place. They taught us the basics of some stuff but then never taught us the full process or they skipped the basics in other areas and went straight to the complicated technical stuff without showing the basics. This lead to a lot of us students having massive gaps in knowledge. This is now something we’re are having to correct on our own which means a lot of us are having to change disciplines in 3rd year because we weren’t shown what each role does in industry and what we need to learn for those roles. 2-3 tutors also left at the end of last year, they even announced they were leaving to students around Easter time but they didn’t even bother to look for a replacement until Christmas time (this is 9 months later!!! And I’m sure those lecturers told the uni about them leaving even earlier than they told us) This ment the lecturers were spread way to thin and delivered like 2-3 lectures the entirety of the first term of this year…. this is unacceptable, as we are paying SO MUCH MONEY for them to do NOTHING but grade the independent work we do at the end of projects.

We are only in 2 days a week and have been on a similar schedule the whole of 2nd and 3rd year, I know a lot of our course is ment to be independent but at this point we are paying for them to give us an assignment and then grade it months later, other than the new lecturer that just joined our course the others are pretty useless and never do lectures or bring guest lecturers in

It was SO EXPENSIVE, it was a TINY ROOM and a shared kitchen with 5 other people, and they charged us £175 A WEEK. After moving into student accommodation, which is already more expensive than regular housing I realise how insane those prices are. Especially for a room that had a desk and bed and tiny corridor and that was it.
