I personally don't get involved much with extra curricular activities so I cannot speak much for them. York is such a beautiful city with so much to do and so much history, and although not much of a problem for when living outside of 1st year halls, it's a long walk between campus and town, which should be considered. I know the brutalist architecture is not appealing to some but the lake and greenery make campus feel really welcoming, with a lot of wildlife on campus too. In 1st year, I encountered a sudden onset of a disability, where I was provided with immediate support, which I am very grateful for.

My course is spread across many different departments which can make it pretty intense - especially during assessment periods, but this also ensures very engaging content, which is widely applicable. I also enjoy the set up of our problem based learning modules, which is a nice change.

Better deal than other colleges, location could be worse but a nice village feel, can get pretty intense living with a larger amount of people.

The campus is beautiful and there's lots of great study spaces. Support, welfare and wellbeing sets York apart from most universities. The only thing that could be improved is the student accommodation, which doesn't fully facilitate all students.

Really interesting and a range of teaching and assessment styles.

Difficult to secure student accommodation after 1st year which can be quite challenging.
