The biggest strength of my university experience is the people and the environment. You’re surrounded by students from very different backgrounds, which pushes your perspective beyond just academics. The lecturers are generally knowledgeable and industry-aware, and when you actually engage with them, you get useful, real-world insight rather than just theory. The location is also a major plus — it gives access to opportunities, networking, events, and part-time work that directly support student life and career development. Overall, the uni gives you freedom: if you’re self-driven, you can build something meaningful out of it. Worst aspects: The main downside is inconsistency. Some modules are well-structured and practical, while others feel outdated or too surface-level. Assessment feedback can be slow or vague, which limits how much you actually learn from mistakes. There’s also a lack of proactive academic guidance — students who don’t actively push for help can easily fall through the cracks. Administrative processes can be inefficient, especially when dealing with deadlines, extensions, or support services.

The course structure is flexible and mostly well-suited to blended learning. Having a mix of in-class sessions and independent study allows you to manage your time effectively, especially if you balance work alongside university. Most lecturers are approachable and responsive when you reach out, and seminars are usually more valuable than lectures because they encourage discussion and application of theory. The course content gives a solid overview of the subject and builds a good analytical foundation. Worst aspects: Contact hours are limited, and the quality of teaching can vary significantly between modules. Some lectures rely too heavily on slides with minimal engagement, which makes self-study do most of the heavy lifting. Feedback on assessments isn’t always detailed enough to clearly show how to improve, and sometimes arrives too late to be useful for future work. There could also be more practical, real-world case studies integrated consistently across modules. How the course could be improved: More interactive teaching, increased meaningful contact time with lecturers, clearer assessment guidance, and faster, more specific feedback. A stronger focus on practical applications alongside theory would make the course more effective and relevant.
