University of Aberdeen was the best choice I made. The degree is valued across the world. The facilities are world class and the historic buildings makes it looks like you are in Hogwarts. The professors are very professional and have strong links with industry. The course was very rigorous and hard work is required as to get distinction you will need to score above 80% (average is 70% in Russell Universities). The university came all out to help students struggling with cost of living during covid pandemic. Providing cash were required and easing financial burden. Some changes university can make is increase entry requirements or select students who are genuinely interested in learning. My masters degree had group works for every module. Some students were free loading or didn’t bother to contribute. It affects individuals grades largely.

The course is very rigorous and no dissertation. Full 12 months of studies continuously. Each module was assessed with variety of criteria. Examples includes: quiz, mcq, presentation, essays, reflective reports and critical analysis. The 3 week module was well designed allowing studies to individual study (1st week), teaching week (2nd) and assessment week (3rd). The lectures were recorded online simultaneously with face to face sessions. Group works were first chaotic but we got along well quickly.

University is in old Aberdeen. Which is 20 minutes walk from the city center. Part time jobs are available in near by retail stores and malls. Lot of pubs are around city center and campus. The Bobbin and Archie’s are student bars. The city is relatively safe except on Friday nights due to night out.
