i really enjoy my experience at de montfort university. i felt supported from the moment i joined, the staff are genuinely helpful, and the communication is always clear. it’s easy to feel like i belong there. i also appreciate how diverse the student community is; it makes me feel more welcomed. Overall, I have a really positive experience even though i am studying online but getting to see everyone’s work in the zoom meetings and what is posted on instagram through the university just makes me feel like i am present their. i would definitely recommend DMU to anyone looking for a motivating place to study. I truly never thought online university can be this great.

With full honesty, the best thing about my course being online is the flexibility it gives me. i can manage my time better, rewatch materials when i need to, and study at my own pace without feeling rushed. My tutor is supportive and usually respond quickly, which makes the whole experience feel more personal even though it’s online. the downside is that sometimes i wish there were more live sessions or interactive elements to feel more connected. studying fully online can get a bit isolating, and having a mix of group work or more real-time teaching would make it even better. but overall, the organization and support make the online format work really well for me.

The campus is a very welcoming area and I feel great when I am there, there is lots of support for things such as, work placements, managing money and the overall health of students. Leicester is a great city for university since it’s very diverse and there are lots of social activities to do.

The lecturers are very supportive of the students with any concerns or queries and they are very helpful with providing information on our projects. I’m pleased with the amount of facilities available such as a materials shop, workshops for creating models and good computers for digital work.
