The facilities are great. I used the Sir Duncan Rice library every time. At the library, there are a lot of resources to aid my learning and research. My worst aspect has to be my experience in navigating my way to and around the university when i first arrived Aberdeen. I am an international student with no family/friend living in Aberdeen which made it harder for me. I got lost often and had to walk long distances to find my route.

So far the quality of teaching by my lecturers has been very high. Materials are made easily available and my lecturer is open to provide guide to students. The worst aspect is that i am being taught with a new software which i have never used before, Wolfram Mathematica. Learning has been slower than i anticipated.

UoA offers a 100% online course and this makes it good for part-time study especially if you’re juggling a job and family life. It doesn’t feel like you’re missing anything because there is still enough support given to you by both the course coordinators and the student support services.

There’s live tutorials weekly but if you can’t make it, they are recorded and you can watch later. The lecturers are available to contact and there’s also the discussion board
