My MSc course at Queen’s University Belfast is delivered primarily through in-class teaching with some blended learning elements, which works really well for technical subjects like Applied Cyber Security. Lectures are scheduled throughout the week, complemented by hands-on lab sessions and practical workshops that allow us to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios. There is frequent contact with lecturers and tutors, who are approachable and always ready to provide guidance or clarify complex concepts. The course also uses online platforms like Blackboard to share lecture materials, submit assignments, and participate in discussions, making learning flexible and accessible even outside the classroom. Overall, the teaching approach balances structured learning with practical experience, ensuring strong academic support and engagement.
