I'm a part-time student and Loughborough has made a real effort to design the course to work for those studying part-time. The remote learning resources are really high quality, and the additional module enhancement days for part-time students work really well. I travel from quite far away to attend university, and I appreciate the ability to book rooms on campus, as well as to access the catering facilities (which are excellent value). Some of the buildings are a bit outdated, but overall the campus has a really nice feel, and has excellent facilities. Student support can be a bit slow to respond, but always provide a good service when they do get back to you. The careers service is particularly helpful. I've been to four Universities and worked at one more, and Loughborough is definitely my favourite.

The course is blended learning which works very well for me as I'm part time and usually have to watch lecture asynchronously. The modules are a good balance of theory and practice. Supplementary materials are excellent and tutors are responsive.

I think the whole university is there to back you and support you do the best you possibly can through so many services available. There is also a great culture with all the societies and clubs at the university which easily makes it so that you can find friends for life on campus. There is so much to get involved in and even if you aren't super sporty the sports facilities are really accessible to anyone and there is an opportunity to learn and develop in so many sports. I would say that the university accommodation might need to be improved slightly

There is the option to rewatch lectures online but there is a real mixture of different types of learning from traditional lectures, to problem classes, labs and tutorial. There is between 3-6 hours per week per module which is a lot of hands on contact hours for a masters and almost all of the lecturers are very accessible and there to help in and out of class

University halls is definitely a great place to meet friends however it can take quite a while for maintenance issues to be fixed
