I think during the past 5 years I have been at the university, the university has really taken less and less attention from holding more general social events. The only university ran club has closed on and off the whole duration I have been here. The student guild can be good, but I feel like their marketing strategy could improve and at least be more engaging and present at their smaller campus in St Luke’s. I’m terms of the university itself the facilities are great, the campus is beautiful, and the when you reach out to staff and other members they do give off an impression that they care about you and your wellbeing.

Some modules are well taught, insightful and put together really well, others are less so and really need improving. I feel like there could be more opportunity to speak to other career prospects as a vast majority are NHS based which was great for me but I know some other individuals would have preferred more variety.

Housing expenses is extortionate and at times I have struggled because of this. It can be quite hard to find a part time job as there is a lot of students so you have to make sure you are hired in the right window and are willing to work over potentially non term times. Safety campaigns do exist but I do feel like safety in the city has been reducing over the past couple of years. Transport exist in the uni, the coordination of times that run on university buses can be off and can make walking a more quicker option in some cases. I think diversity and the acceptance of diversity can be great however a few scandals have happened that should not have happened in the first place and that is a very problematic thing that needs resolving and maybe wasn’t handle in the correct way when it happened.

So there is an old lafrowda and a new lafrowda, on the website it is not clear how different old lafrowda looks from new lafrowda and myself and a few others in the halls had the same problem. The halls was very party heavy, there were a lot of cleaner issues, the location was one of the best you could get but it was always very loud and very student based.

An amazing location, incredible facilities, and it feels as though the university really does care about the wellbeing of their students. Things at Exeter just WORK and everything that you need to thrive is free and easy to access.

For the most part, the teaching has been incredible. There is one module that has moved quite quickly, and it has felt as though some key concepts have been glossed over, but some independent study fills in the gaps.
