The campus is stunning and has good facilities and many nature walks. The staff were super helpful when I changed course and sorted it out pretty much immediately. The student union hosts many events and there is something for everyone.
The biggest issue is that for clothes and miscellaneous shops, you have to travel using a bus, car or walk for about an 40 mins to an hour. The night life isn’t great unless you travel off of university grounds as there is only the student union for these sorts of stuff

Since I’ve not long switched to the course I don’t know enough about careers and work placements etc. My course is currently all in person and each of my four modules has 4 hours of lecture/practical time in a week but lecturers are willing to answer emails and are very helpful. Powerpoints and examples relating to the stuff we studied in lectures is also readily available to use even before the lectures in some cases.

University halls
What do you think about the safety, condition, location and cost of your accommodation?
The location is fairly close to the student union, post room and many of the science buildings. Most buildings are within a 10-15 minute walk, some even closer.
Since the halls are in a relatively rural area it definitely feels safer than it would in a city. The main door also locks itself when you enter and exit provided it has been closed properly.
I was not particularly enthused with the room I was allocated as it is about half the size, if not slightly smaller, than other people I live with but my housemates have been very helpful in making sure I have more space in common areas. The size of my room is what annoys me the most about the cost. It’s a decent price but other flatmates are paying the same for more space than I get.
Overall, the internet is fast and works well whatever you need it for. It does occasionally stop working but usually never more than 5-10 minutes at a time.
