DJCAD facilities are excellent and technicians are super helpful and supportive! Love having our own canteena in DJCAD and feel satisfied with the support available. The lecturers are on the whole pretty good and they listen to feedback and are implementing great changes to the course for the years following us which is good. However, due to covid we were not able to have a normal first year and so a lack of workshop experience has possibly held us back a bit. The union has loads of societies which is great! But it recently invested in new seating and a new menu, as a result prices have increased and the atmosphere has changed, making some people less likely to use it.

It’s great that lecturers are listening to feedback and have adjusted the course for the future. However, off the back of the pandemic I do feel some projects have been a bit repetitive. The facilities are fantastic and the technicians are super helpful! The lecturers are pretty good at giving feedback and guidance but it’s good when they give you time on your own to work on projects too.

Even though it was in the pandemic, staying in halls was great, my flat were pretty lucky in that we all got along. My only real complaint is the laundry service which was pretty inefficient.

Student union isn't really involved with DJCAD. But the union has also gone down hill in the last few years and they changed the main cafe bar area and I don't think it works as well as they thought it was going to. Apart from that DJCAD had very good facilities and you get alot of creative freedom. Studying here is great even in the main libary they have the create space which allows you to have access to a design area while the studios are closed.

Work placeme t and internship doesn't really apply. There was an option in 3rd year but I don't really think it was pushed or I don't remember hearing much about it. Contact with lecturers was great there always someone around. We have alot of facilities available around the art school. We seem to be a subject that does a bit of everything

It's in middle of campus so basically ideal. The allocations is through a form and then they will best match from there. If there was anything wrong then we can call some numbers and get help from there. There was often a quick response or someone will pop round. There was also this rep person who would drop in every now and then.
