More staff and support across all of the uni, it does feel like a lot of corners are cut wherever possible.

More lecturers, more access to more help

The location is perfect, I love having my home near my uni but also having the option to walk into town - in my opinion it’s the perfect distance. The equipment available for my course is fantastic, I have pretty much everything I need. The halls for first year were amazing!!! The student union should/could host more events. There are obviously some held but they are very generic and not very well promoted meaning there isn’t a large turnout. I have friends at other unis who are going to student union lead events every week, which sound new, unique and exciting and I wish there was more on offer here. The hours expected of you at university are unrealistic and are pushed too hard. I put in the work and usually do well for myself, but I definitely do not put 40 hours a week like I have been told I should be. These unrealistic hours should not be pushed onto students as they create anxiety and can have the opposite effect on engagement due to the stress they cause.

Some content is dragged over a long period of time and can lessen engagement. For example last year we had a 3 hour lecture yet the content could have easily fit into an hour, this lead to students missing these lectures and becoming disinterested from the module. The contact time and course size is perfect, it allows you to speak to your lecturer at any stage of the project and gain feedback which isn’t available on other courses.

Was amazing, if anything went wrong it was fixed literally within a day. The hot water, heating and cooking facilities were perfect. Loved living there so much.
